In progress Faulty JavaScript?

Post by ℋunni on January 12th 2012, 4:35 am

Running: Invisionfree

So! I've been under the impression that some of my site's Javascript pages are faulty. I'm not sure if there's a coding or script mishap that's affecting it all, but some are working, so I can't really pin why some aren't. The two scripts that aren't working are:

  • The Select Content Button Script
  • The Google Web Fonts Scripts

Any help, or advice, or anything? I'm so confused ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ

It seems like this is becoming an issue for many users. If there are any more reports of the Javascript codes not working then I shall inform the technicians. However, for the moment I will ask you all to re-install your Javascript codes to see if that makes a difference. Smile

Alright !

Edit: I did as told--that is, I deleted and reinstalled all of my Scripts--and there's still no change </3.

Edit 2: I ran the Error Console that Firefox has installed, and I got some errors and a ton of Warnings, though I don't think these are relevant(?).

Edit 3: I'm so sorry about all of these edits! Once I took off the Google Scripts for the fonts I'm trying to call to my site, the Select Content Script works fine. Down below I've placed what one of the scripts are (I didn't place both because they're identical except for calling the name of the font.)

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
  WebFontConfig = {
    google: { families: [ 'Tulpen+One::latin' ] }
  };
  (function() {
    var wf = document.createElement('script');
    wf.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https' : 'http') +
      '://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/webfont/1/webfont.js';
    wf.type = 'text/javascript';
    wf.async = 'true';
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
    s.parentNode.insertBefore(wf, s);
  })(); </script>

I was placing it inside Modules > HTML & JAVASCRIPT > JavaScript codes management.

I've since taken them down until we come up with a solution

8D...I feel so unfathomably stupid. Ohp, thank you so much Rideem. Everything's working well as of now ^^". Would you please leave this topic open for the others seeing as this is the designated topic for the other members that are having a problem with JavaScript.

Sorry again; that was a really dumb mistake </3.

Glad your problem is solved, and I will of course leave this topic open for any other users who are experiencing problems with Javascript.

I think I can say that it is NOT a technical problem after all. Very Happy
