User session lost forcing users to log back in
Several users have seen the same problem where the the user has been forced to log. I have seen the exact problem.
We have cleared the cookies and content ... yet the problem continually reoccurs.
I have "Log on automatically" checked yet I forced to reenter the user and password.
It just happened when I accessed www.silverwing600.com ... I collected all (silverwing600.com, silverwing600.forumotion.com and forumotion.com minus help ) cookies. Here is the cookies (minus contents which I do have saved):

Re: User session lost forcing users to log back in
This usually happens around the end of one month and the beginning of next month. It should stop in a couple of days. It has something to do with security of your forum.

Our forum allows Guest (Unauthenticated) access, so I should be able to access without login ... yet I am I being forced to re-login.

Hello,
As slg posted it will be back to normal. This just makes sure the people have rights to certain things do in fact have them. Should be solved by the 1st or 2nd.

The problem is still occurring today.
Re: User session lost forcing users to log back in
My forum ( http://thesnarkening.forumotion.com/ ) is also experiencing the same issue today, members being logged out even though it's no longer the end/beginning of the month.
Additionally is there any way to prevent this from re-occurring every month, what "security" issue would it be and how can we change that?

Re: User session lost forcing users to log back in
Hi,
Is it still occuring today?
No there is not, it's a script on the server side. It is to ensure that it is actually the user and not someone else in their account.

I am able to access both forums, without a problem.

No, the logout thing is resolved, but I'd still like to know why it happened. The first of the month is one thing, and randomly on the 5th is another.
We're also now experiencing members "notify me of replies"/"watch this thread" preference get randomly turned on, which is also annoying.
