Smiles hosting server is not accessible

Post by tea26 on January 17th 2012, 2:32 pm

Hi!

So the smiles are stored somewhere like here: http://r21.imgfast.net/users/2112/68/28/27/smiles/302838.gif
The problem is, they can't be seen from every place. Some filters (apparently at work computers) block the hosting, making it impossible to download the smiles and browse the forum in its usual appearance.

I am wondering if there's any solution to this inconvenience. Any advices would be appreciated.

Try to re-upload images to another image hosting, like imgur or servimg... examples:
1. http://i.imgur.com/KdNLa.gif
2. https://i43.servimg.com/u/f43/16/83/25/99/kdnla10.gif

But it's not me who chooses hosting, right? Isn't forumotion?

In CP when I upload a smile it gets the address like this: http://tennis.forumotion.com/users/2112/68/28/27/smiles/943190.gif
But when I use it, its address is: http://r21.imgfast.net/users/2112/68/28/27/smiles/943190.gif

And I highly suspect that the former link will work fine everytime, while the latter may get cut by some filter.

I have no idea how to get rid of that imgfast.net thing, if that's even possible.

Hi,

I'm sorry but Forumotion is not able to control external filters, so they cannot force a company or place to change their filter to prevent a smilie.
There is unfortunately no work around TT

It is also not possible to remove ImgFast as it's a built in part of Forumotion. Sorry.
