Forumotion migration?

Hi all. I'm considering hosting and running my forums using another piece of software. But obviously I do not wish to lose all my info and threads, and hopefully not users.

So my question is...is it possible to export the forum in any way? Can I transfer to my own host?

Well it's no rush at the moment. Any idea when it will be reinstated?

Also, does this mean I cannot use my domain for anything else should I want to?

You can never get what your asking for. The database containing your users, topics, posts etc belongs to forumotion.
The link above only refers to transferring domains, not database tables.

well forumotion never offered any data base transfers before.
So may be when they bring back the domain transfers they will start offering for data for a fee?
Dunno.. But i am sure there are a lot that would be willing to pay,
