Forumotion Donate

Post by Marvin on January 25th 2012, 10:35 am

Forumotion should put a Donate Button on his homepage or the Help Forum Portal.
So People can donate for faster Updates and better Servers to forumotion.

Forumotion can pay from the donations more Updates or ..

I think, this should be a good Idea!

Forumotion should not be a company that relies on donations, but so Forumotion can still earn some money and we get to evl. more updates: D

I think this is some thing that should be put in place and have a rank for it so you get some thing out of giving money to the site

I for one would give some money for the site as long as its used right

This can be added through a simple HTML image code, with a hyperlink attached to the PayPal donation page...

So, this is a suggestion for the SUPPORT forum, not for EVERYONE'S forum?
If so, wrong forum Razz

None the less -
I'm voting AGAINST this suggestion, why?
I want updates, yes, but were not getting updates because of a lack of staff, but because the techs are working on bug fixes, and also working on improving the forum's base coding, I believe, ie, upgrade from PHPBB2 to PHPBB3 server side coding, in anticipation of the release of PHPBB4; whenever that may be.
Believe me you, that's no simple task - it's quite a long and difficult one.

Amongst all that, the developers ARE working on updates, but the bug fixes are highest priority.
The updates are being pushed out as soon as possible when they are ready.

E-Toxic ('ForuMotion', 'MotionForums', 'ActiveForums' ect ) is looking to hire more staff, but the fact is, there's no-one applying, so their down a few team members, not that they can't afford to hire one, which they can.

ForuMotion's main income is ofcause the adds, which they allow you to ever so kindly, remove.

Like I said above, they can afford to hire another Technician now as it is - Infact they WANT another one, their looking & advertising for one, but they can't seem to find one, neither is one applying.

Infact, they are looking for 1 tech, and 1 member for the Research & Design team. Wink

It is NOT a matter of money, but a matter of WHO

Yes they are already looking, but they haven't found anyone that suites their criteria.

Hello, Darren1, and what are those circumstances, I would like to know what they are. Apparently you, I, Dion & lgforum, well we would make perfect technicians, don't you agree.

I disagree, no offence to the others, but I think they should hire outsiders. People who's not here. The techs need to be hidden.

Hello,

I'm going to lock this topic. Typlo said a year ago or two that Forumotion doesn't accept donations. If you want to help them out, you can also buy credits.
