Can I appoint a Deputy Administrator?

I'd like to appoint a Deputy Administrator, with some of the permissions of an Administrator. Is that possible, or can we only have Moderators and Administrators?

I think you can only set permissions for either Mod or Admin. You can't pick and choose.

Thanks. That's what it looks like to me, but I'd like this thread to stay open in case anyone has any suggestions.

The answer would be no, if you add someone to the administration he'll have access to your AP with same functions as you. The only exception is that he would not have access to templates and Credits managment nor will be able to edit your profile or delete the forum. You can make a false group and add him there to be a 'false' admin with no access to AP and add hide the real group. If you add him to the main admin group he'll have access.
