Password emails being sent out

Post by GOB on February 5th 2012, 11:04 pm

Guys, several members of our forum have received emails as per below regarding their password and even though they have not requested them...

"Hello ******

You are receiving this e-mail because you have (or someone pretending to be you has) requested a new password to be sent for your account on Argyle Talk - Democratic . If you did not request this e-mail then please ignore it, if you keep receiving it please contact the board administrator.

To use the new password, you need to activate it. To do this, click the link provided below.

http://****************.forumotion.co.uk/profile.forum?mode=reactivate&u=113&ak=125542

If successful you will be able to login using the following password:

Password: 75beabb3

Of course, you can change this password yourself via the profile page. If you have any difficulties, please contact the board administrator.

We have checked the IP of the email and we believe it maybe a Formation IP, can you confirm this and is there a problem at all?

Hello,

Seems like someone is trying to reset users passwords. Forumotion will never do this.
