Export and Import Skins
Re: http://Brandon.canadian-forum.com/
Can someone please explain what the significance is of Exporting the Skin?
And, when and how do we import?
When we Restore the skin, what does that do?
Sorry, just need some clarity.
Is it essential that we click on every button, to make our site work??? Please someone help me out here. TIA

Hello,
Export means you export the theme to your computer (Backup)
Restore is restoring the theme (theme issues)

Re: Export and Import Skins
Exporting your current theme is a good idea, well why? Their are a few reasons, for example, if your forum undergoes trouble such as a hacking or other issues, having the exported theme, which will act as a backup sure is a good idea. Afterwards, the theme may be imported back into your forum, saving you a lot of problems.

Re: Export and Import Skins
Wonderful. Thanks for the wisdom.
I also noticed that when creating my site, when I wanted a pic inserted, it just posts that square with the red x. Is it essential that I use the HTML code, the Direct, or which code is the one needed?
Also, is there a way of creating a bar, so we can copy and paste the Pic url code in there, rather than just that tiny type on top of the message box?
What have I not done right? Please - I really want to get this done right. Thanks for your help guys/

Re: Export and Import Skins
You need the direct url of the image. Red X means the image isn't displaying because you didn't copy the right url and or you need to clear your cache or the image is missing.
What do you mean?
