okay i have a another question. i have it set up so you can not see the forum unless you join. a troll we had banned the other day stalked one of my admins at face book and told her he was taking screen shots of the forum and could see every thing. is that possible or was he bluffing? i am not that familiar with screen shots. thank you.

Hi,

Screen shot is a picture of your screen. If he joined your forum he could have made screen shots of it. So, yes, it's possible.

well since there is not a bloody thing i can do about a troll stealing my forums board and purring it up ar another forum, it will never be solved, but other than that, once again, not a bloody thing i can do about it.

EmilyJudith.9 you can set AP > Users and groups > Users options > Account activation > Administrator
So you'll have to approve/activate anybody that registers. That's all you can do.

I just want to point out that some trolls are also spammers, others use multiple e-mail addresses or proxies to register on the forum in case you banned their e-mail or the I.P. address.

Don't respond to the trolls they just want a reaction and if you do more trolls will get involved.

Yeah well spammers and trolls have been around since the creations of forums.
It's a pain but all part of the game of running forums, So you just have to keep banning them as much as you can.I mean these days now forumotion has more in order to help prevent spammers, But of course there would be no way to completely rid the problem.

And yeah not much you can do about someone taking screen shots,You just have to go on and continue running your forum as you see fit and take care of any problems the best you can when they come up.
You can always try to report this persons facebook account to facebook for harassment or any other abuse's you feel he is causing you Smile

I wish i had some better answers i could provide, but really not to much you can do in situations like this, Unless this person is doing some real harm, then you would have to report it to the appropriate authorities or anywhere else you think you can get some actions taken against them.

You can even report the IP address to the service provider it is coming from.
It may not mount out to anything but is always worth a try.
