Warning Level Issue

Post by bradjoe96 on February 12th 2012, 4:15 pm

So I've been doing some looking around and found the link to the main tutorial to set up warning level. I followed the steps exactly and made sure all of my settings were as listed in him "spoilers". However, I tried to register a new user just to see if it was working and it actually gives me the option to change my own warning level at registration... I have this set to only mods can change it and not the user themselves... why is this option still available, and at registration no less?

Thanks in advance.

That worked. However, will it still set the new user as the default I set? If you're not sure I can test it no problem, but I need to know.

OK, I just made a quick new user and tested it. No prompt for Warning Level and warning level default is functional.

I guess it's my job to post the fix:

It was the Necessarily filled? option. I had it on Yes, which apparently made it one of the required inputs while registering. If you look at the spoilers in that original tutorial he has it set to "Yes" so if anybody happens to run across this and have the same problem... now you know Very Happy

Thanks APE for the help.

Yes if you have set one of the the bars as a default then all members will get that one on there profle when they make an account,

If you find that some of your members or all your old members Dont have the bar right now this can be fixed by clicking on all the same settings gave in my first post

Then scroll right down the page click on Replace the content right at the bottom of the page. This resets all members profiles with your default bar Exclamation
