Stepping down or closing a forum Empty Stepping down or closing a forum

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere. I looked but cannot find any information.

If I want to step down as admin of a forum can I do so or would I need to close the forum altogether?

thanks in advance.

Hi!

You can:
- Delete your forum: this option will delete your forum forever [Administration Panel => General => Forum => Forum Deletion];
- Put your forum in vacantion: this option, if you aren't sure, and you will start this forum again (all in your forum don't dissapear, posts, users, topics, theme, etc. will remain) [Administration Panel => General => Forum => Configuration => General => Forum on holiday : Yes.];
- Change the founder of the forum: https://help.forumotion.com/t81878-recovery-or-change-founder-of-an-account;

Hello Coddy, thank you for your reply, it looks rather complicated.

Also there is no other admin but me and no one else wants to do it so it seems I would need to delete the forum.

Anyway, it's your decision, be sure you need to wait to receive a e-mail when you'll delete your forum.

I know it all comes down to your own decisions, but I would like for you to consider all the members that have been with you since the beginning, if any. Have they been their for you, and how many members your forum has. Take these elements into consideration and then rethink if you will indeed delete your board, because once it's deleted, it cannot be retrieved.
