How can I make my forum invisible to guests?

Hey so I just started a new forum and I want it to be private to my family and friends as a lot of us have serious issues and live far away. I don't want guests to beable to see my forum. Is there a way to block it so they can't see any of the topics or anything that anybody has posted in? Or is it automatically like that. I'd really appreciate an answer as soon as possible! Thanks

AP > Forum > Categories and forums > click on it next to every forum, than on permissions tab, and set the permissions for members only.
You can also set AP > Users and groups > Users options > Account activation > Admin, so you'll have to activate in Inactive users every user that registeres. Until he is activated he wont be able to access forum.
