Fm chat problem

My problem is that if I put my FM chat in my "Forum Widgets Management" section It has to push my forum content to the left or the right 180 pixels which puts everything off center.I don't want to show widgets on my index page but I want to use FM chat.Is there any other way to incorporate this into my forum?
