Solved Re Style my Forum

Post by DaveG on March 15th 2012, 7:50 am

Not sure how to explain what I want to do but here goes, I want to change the front page appearance so that instaed of having one Box with all the categories in it i want to take one category only out of that box and put it in it's own box at the top, Like the Home Page on this help forum but it has 2 Categories General Rules & Frequently Asked Questions in the box.

If you have a look at my Forum http://tccf.forumotion.com/

I want to take the Ford Thunderbird Forum up into a box of it's own, I've been to the Admin/Display/Structures & Heirachy and tried them all but it doesn't do what i want. Can someone please help me Oh one other quick thing how can i set so clicking on the banner returns you to the home page. Thank You. Dave

This tutorial shows how to get multi-forums in one: http://help.forumotion.com/t21989-multi-forums-in-one

Clicking the banner should always load the homepage/index.

The reason why your banner does not load the homepage is because you do not have an image for a banner. You are just using text.

Please take a look at this topic about forums and categories: http://help.forumotion.com/t8322-differences-between-forum-and-category

When you are looking in the administration panel > general > forum > forum & categories how many categories are showing?

You will need to create a catgory for that forum that you want by itself.
