Solved My .SWF Banner is just white

Post by Snowman Reviews March 22nd 2012, 1:32 am

I have looked throught the forum here and have found no help so i wanted to ask. My .swf banner is just displaying a white box, i have it hosted it on http://megaswf.com/serve/2284528/ and that makes no difference, i then hosted it on another site, http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1332371215. Is there anything else i can do to make it work. my forum page is http://mediafanatics.forumotion.co.uk/.

Thanks in advance

in order for the picture to be displayed, it has to be in another form such as .Png, .Jpg, etc...

well the swfcabin file is a 404 and not working, the other file is not a proper flash link.

Also i would need to see what code you are using, it could be you have the link set up wrong.

I would use http://fileden.com/ they seem to be the best to upload swf files, i used to use swfcabin all the time but sometimes they are slow with loading or even uploading, to where file den is really fast.

so either re-up your flash file to swfcabin again or use file den and give me the link Smile
Oh give me the dimensions of what the banner is too, then i will give you a code that works thumright

yeah this link will not work, it's not a proper swf link.
can you upload it to swfcabain again or file den like i asked.
Because the swfcabin link would have to be altered a little bit

to where a file den link you can use as is.

Like take this for instance.
this is a sonic flash game, and here is the link from swfcabin.

http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1332374821

Ok so this link would have to be changed like this.

http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1332374821.swf

bbcode
Code:
[flash(450,350)]http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1332374821.swf[/flash]

html
Code:
<div style="margin:auto;text-align:center;width:100%"><embed pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1332374821.swf" width="450" height="350" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" quality="high" scale="exactfit"></embed></div>

so if you re-pu to swf then alter the link like i have it, then you can add to your embed code or the one i have and change the dimensions to what they are supposed to be.

info added

Oh ok i see you worked it out before i got to post this..
Cool, as you see file den is much better and you d not have to alter anything in the links Smile
