First topic message reminder :

Hello.

When we ban users for a long period they doesnt remember when they can go into the forum aggain, so they will not go back to the forum, because they don´t remember when the ban period ends.

So my suggestion is that when a ban period ends (so the user can go into the forum aggain), an automatic email will be sent to his email adress, saying something like:

Dear [NICKNAME]

Remember your ban period in [FORUM URL] has ended, so you can log into your forum account when you want, but don´t forget to respect forum rules for not being banned aggain

Do you like the idea? What a Face

BUMP Wink

@thewhiteninja97 yeah, I know, but maybe if someone is banned...let's say...two months, he will not remember to try it, so it's just a reminder Wink

Of course it's the user decision to go back to the forum or not.

P.S. thanks a lot for your vote man!

I don't know about other forums's ban policy, but if I ban someone, I ban them for good and don't want to see them on the forum anymore. I don't think your suggestion is a necessary change, you can PM the banned person manually. (I assume you don't ban hundreds of people on daily basis, so you can keep track of the banned people and their ban period.)

I actually think this is a very useful feature. voted yes!
Many a times newbies come to the forum not knowing what to do and they broke rules, get warnings and still manage to get banned for some time.
It doesn't really mean they were harmful people, it is possible they would forget about visiting forum even after they have been unbanned hence I think this is useful.

(When I started out in forums I was such a noob I got banned a lot so I can relate XD)
