Solved Background (can't be changed?)

Post by SeekerOfD on April 9th 2012, 12:23 pm

Hey,

I am making a forum and I want to change the background to this;
http://hitskin.coxm/themes/15/76/50/i_background.jpg

However, I can't seem to be able to find any display settings, simple or advanced, that seems to allow me to change the current background.
www.thedeadzone.roleaddict.com

The theme was http://en.hitskin.com/search-a-skin/true-blood-fever-157820.htm

It really is stumping my mind. Thanks for any help!

Hello,

try to add this CSS code:
Code:
body {
background: white url(http://hitskin.coxm/themes/15/76/50/i_background.jpg)!important;
}

I've updated the CSS at this point

Code:
body {
        background-color: #e0e0e0;
   'background-image:url('');
background: white url(http://hitskin.coxm/themes/15/76/50/i_background.jpg)!important;
        margin-left: 0px;
   background-attachment: fixed;
        background-position: center;
   background-repeat: repeat-y;
}

It succeeds in removing the old background but it is now just blank white. I've commented out 'background-image thinking it may have caused a clash but to no avail. Any more ideas Smile?

Try to add this one now...
Code:
body {
background-image:url(http://hitskin.coxm/themes/15/76/50/i_background.jpg)!important;
background: white url(http://hitskin.coxm/themes/15/76/50/i_background.jpg)!important;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: center;
background-repeat: repeat-y;
}

Omg this worked but for a completely different reason. Note the url is hitskin.COXM. I had to inspect element the page and noticed that the imagine wasn't being loaded.

Thanks for the help though Smile
