Are you talking about BlueImp Ajax chat? If so, you can't install this on FM.
The default FM chatbox is a variation though which you can access from modules.

FM = Forumotion. Sorry lol, most people are aware of that abbreviation, now you are too Smile

You can't install the Blueimp Ajax chat due to the fact it needs files ulpoaded into the root directory on the same server as your forum, which isn't possible on FM.

However, if you go to ACP > Modules > Chatbox: Configuration
You can enable a chatbox in your forum.

The chatox that is already installed (after you enable it) is a variation of the Ajax chat your talking about. Its not quite as good, its very simplified, but you might like it.

what do you mean a chat to the navigation bar?
Do you mean a link to a chat?

If so ACP > Display > Headers & Navigation

You can embed the chat into an HTML Page, I think it is also possible to make a separate AJAX chat, which you may create a Pop-Out Version out of, however I haven't tried it yet, but I will in the future.

You can get the default chat in the page from the dropdown list.
ACP > modules > chatbox : display chatbox and choose where you want it.

You can have it in an iframe.
Or install LGChat or FMChat. They both come with tons of extr features too, such as private chatting

Hi, Hello

You would like to put a Downloading Chat?

To add it in the NarBar, you'll have to create a button for it.
Then go here: ACP >> Display >> Headers & Navigations >>

I would suggest to get an HTML Chatbox, that way you can create an HTML page for it. Then you'll get the direct link, when creating the Navigation button for it.

Those two links that Rideem gave you do not create a chat in the homepage, they create a Pop up chat in every page.
You expressed an interest in getting a pop up chat, so not sure why they were of no help?

i think he is asking for the iframe code?

Add you forum url where i have it marked in the code.

<div style="margin:auto;text-align:center;width:100%"><iframe frameborder="0" width=80% height=300 src=YOUR FORUM URL HERE/chatbox/index.forum? marginheight=2 marginwidth=2 scrolling=auto allowtransparency=yes name=Chatbox ></iframe></div>

Code:
<div style="margin:auto;text-align:center;width:100%"><iframe frameborder="0" width=80% height=300 src=YOUR FORUM URL HERE/chatbox/index.forum?  marginheight=2 marginwidth=2 scrolling=auto allowtransparency=yes name=Chatbox ></iframe></div>

If you want your chat on all pages First go to your chat module and select no for display chat and hit save.

Now you can either enter the chat code in your site description or announcement to be on all pages. Keep in mind the links that Rideem3 has provided would allow it to be on all pages as well. Below are a few other options.

Admin panel>general>configuration

In site description, add the code and hit save.

If you don't want it there you can add to your forums announcement.

Admin panel>general>messages and emails>announcements

set like this

Activate announcements : Yes
Announcements display : on all pages
scrolling : Deactivate

then hit save

Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Hey, looking to add a downloaded chat? Ajoute10

Name to chat or whatever you want, past the code and hit save.
If you want to add to your nav bar, past the code on a html page, then add the html page url to your new added navigation options.

If you want a pop-out window chat, You will have to tell us where you want it, you will not be able to add the pop out code in the nav bar options. The difference between a pop-out window chat and the pop-up for the link Rideem3 provided. Marios tutorial would open/pop-up the chat on any giving forum page you are on, to where a pop-out window would just be a window and remain open until you close it.

So yeah there are a lot of different ways and options you can go with. Then Lgforum versions offers even more options then just the regular forumotion chat.

So decide what you like best then go with that. If you need more help just explain what you are going with and and we can take it from there Smile
