Hi,
The team would of had a reason to ban your forum.
I'm sorry but all you can do is click on the 'contest' button, there is nothing else we can do here on the support forum

Re: Forum banned - not breaking rules
I've tried that but haven't received a response yet. If they chose not to reinstate, is it possible to get the contact information for our members? I'd like to at least be able to contact them so we can try to move the forum.
Also, is it possible, again if not reinstated, to get an export of the forum so we could attempt to reinstall on another host?
The contact list is critical as we do not want to lose our members.
Some type of warning system? Eg. 'your in violation, clear this issue up by xx date or get suspended'??

Can I have the link to your forum, perhaps I can figure out what is wrong. Anyways, no you cannot get an export on your forum, this is due because Forumotion doesn't let it's members within the database, sorry.

Re: Forum banned - not breaking rules
The problem is my forum consensualincest.forumotion.com has been banned.
It shouldn't be. This is a support forum.
I'm not asking for access to the database, just an export of the members contact info. There's only 40 members so its not a huge dump.
Shutting down a forum, with no warning, and no method for contacting the membership just seems a bit heavy handed. All I'm asking for is a little cooperation.

I'm afraid the litigation team won't be able to give the contact information of the members, since they review a lot of reports, and the team won't ban forums if you don't have anything that's against our TOS:
https://www.forumotion.com/en/create-forum/terms-of-service.htm
You can contest the decision if you want and justify that you're not breaking one of them.

Re: Forum banned - not breaking rules
Content removed? Great.
So your statement is "they wouldn't do it if they weren't justified"? How can I contest a rule if you don't tell me what rule I broke??
(I'm sure you can't tell me because we didn't break any rules).

As sure that I can't tell because I'm not a litigation staff, well, if you believe that your forum shouldn't be banned, then contest the decision, well if you don't like then don't, besides the choice is yours.
The TOS is provided in this link: https://www.forumotion.com/en/create-forum/terms-of-service.htm

Re: Forum banned - not breaking rules
Hi, the most common breaches are:
Violent or repulsive content
Hateful or abusive content
Defamatory content and / or affecting the integrity of a person
Sexual and/or pornographic content
Harmful and dangerous acts
Copyright infringment
Spam
Phishing and/ or malware website
Credit card fraud
Hacking
Please ensure that your forum had none of the above. If you truly believe that there was nothing breaking our TOS, then you can contest the decision.

Re: Forum banned - not breaking rules
I have contested the decision but our forum is still down. Our forum does not fall into any of those categories. It is a support forum for incestuous couples, however we do not allow any sexual stories, fantasies or pictures.
What I would like is for the forum to be put up long enough for me to contact the members. A few hours at most. I don't think that is an unreasonable request. Everyone keeps pointing to policy, but doesn't seem to actually resolve the problem. Please help by allowing us a few hours to contact members.

I understand your situation. However, all we can do now is wait for the results of the contest.
Re: Forum banned - not breaking rules
Hi,
There will be no, response from our Litigations Team, as they do not give out reason's as to why they ban forums, sorry it's their policy.
As for any warnings:
This can go down 2 paths -
1: The violation was Minor, there is a 10 day period at which you are notified in the index page of your admin panel, with a counting down timer, in which there is also a date & time for conformity, or removal.
2: The violation is sever, it is removed without notice. This is also the case when the Local French Authorities have stepped in.
For the Users Information:
As per the ToS, which you had to agree to in order to create the forum, you are not permitted to any 'dump' or Data from the DataBase.
Sorry.
