Solved toolbar help

Post by GREENER on April 19th 2012, 4:59 am

I am looking to modify the existing provided toolbar for my message board...

I go to Administration Panel - Display - Headers and Navigation
- when i get there i look to modify existing toolbar by pressing the gear icon (under the action tab) but when i get to the next screen the MENU, TEXT and REDIRECTION URL are all greyed out and i cannot change them - the only one i can change is the picture - which is the one thing i want to keep!

I hope i explain myself well - any insight on this issue is appreciated and i TY in advance for your time....

If you are using images, please go here:
Administration Panel > Display > Colors & Pictures > Pics Management
Advanced Mode
General / Index Tab

I have followed his suggestion - all that i am able to change in those steps is the PICTURE (and i want to change the text that the toolbar is named.... - the picture i uploaded is fine - but it still has the original name of the toolbar - i want to change that and in siome cases be able to erase it - of course emending the redirection URL is key as well - and all these functions appear to be able to be changed on this screen BUT THEY ARE GREYED OUT

BELOW IS THE SCREENSHOT OF SLG SUGGESTION RESULT:

ty for your time Jophy - but just want to confirm - there is no way to change the text that the toolbar is named?....

it seems like a basic and fundamental thing to change - i find it surpising that its not possible (thats why i am asking a 2nd time - just to confirm we are talkn about same thing)

You may choose to create a new navigation bar on 'Headers & Navigation' and have your preferred name placed on the menu.

i tried making my own toolbar - but i am having trouble with creating the LINK to items such as PROFILE and MESSAGES because they are customized to specific user ids - any suggestions?

fyi - i am just creating widget with this code: YOUR TEXT HERE - with a picture instead of a text...

There's no way to change the 'profile' toolbar/navigation bar.

For other problems, please create your own topic.
