Changing Colour of Scrolling announcement text
Hi
I want to change the colour of the scrolling announcement text, I have gathered that I have to do it in the style sheet, however I cannot find the style sheet and have no clue how to change the colour, also I want to make the text bigger and bold.
Instruction on how to do this wuld be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,
You can add HTML codes to do that:
Make sure to change 'colorhere' , 'size here'(in number) and 'Announcement Message here'.

- Code:
<b><font color=colorhere><font size=size here>Announcement Message Here</font></b>

Hello,
Do you mean where to change it?:
Admin Panel > General > Announcements > Scroll to bottom > Modify your announcement list > Add the codes & save

Re: Changing Colour of Scrolling announcement text
Make sure you add the codes to the correct place, read this guide about scrolling announcements:
https://help.forumotion.com/t38436-scrolling-announcements
Simply put the scrolling message on the 'Announcement message here' part of the code(replace it with the scrolling message on your forum)

Re: Changing Colour of Scrolling announcement text
Can you provide a screenshot of the message body of your scrolling announcement?
See this forum(my test forum):
http://testzone.darkbb.com/
That's how supposed to be look like what you're saying if you added it properly.

Colour Change
Hi Jophy
When I follow your instructions I can see the colour changes and font perfectly and how I want it in the display section where it shows how the forum looks in the Admin Panel. However when I go to preview forum at the top and then homepage no scrolling text is shown. It just appears empty.

Colour change announcements
Thank you for your help Jophy, but just wont work for me, enable html as instructions and still the same, the only way I can make the scrolled message appear on he homepage is by just typing it in without a code, I am not able to change the colour etc as it it will not appear whatever I do. I guess I will have to leave it there.

Hi,
To make it work with the code you need to disable HTML editor.

Colour change announcement
Thanks Nera but it still does not work for me
Ok I disable where you said and got a different box was displayed, I pasted in
<b><font color=#3980CC><font size=10>THE LOTTERY IS NOW CLOSED YOUR CHOSEN NUMBER ARE LOGGED IN THE CHOSEN NUMBER CATEGORY, ALL ENTRIES HAVE RECEIVED A SECOND RANDOMLY GENERATED NUMBER. GO CHECK YOUR NUMBERS NOW!</font></b>
Then save
Went to the homepage and it is still the same black text scrolling along and when I go back to the announcement box there is no code in there anymore just THE LOTTERY IS NOW CLOSED YOUR CHOSEN NUMBER ARE LOGGED IN THE CHOSEN NUMBER CATEGORY, ALL ENTRIES HAVE RECEIVED A SECOND RANDOMLY GENERATED NUMBER. GO CHECK YOUR NUMBERS NOW! that is all.
Sry for the caps but that is how the message is displayed.
