Solved If forum has new posts

Post by iamataloss April 28th 2012, 12:59 pm

Is there a variable for a forum's status?

In other words, on the main index page, how can I customize something based on whether or not a forum has new posts, no new posts, or is locked?

Do you mean the Icons that tell you whether or not there is a new post or not?

Administration Panel > Display > Pictures & Colors > Pics Management > Then to your right, there will be tabs, click on the tab that says "Icons For The Forum". There you can change that.

Is there anything beyond that, though?

I'm not to sure what you mean? You can only do so much with that. The only other thing I can think of is maybe moving it or adjusting the position with CSS.

I'm thinking I'll probably have to use JavaScript.
I was just wondering if there was like a variable, something like this:

Code:
<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_new_posts --><!-- END switch_forum_new_posts -->
<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_no_new_posts --><!-- BEGIN switch_forum_no_new_posts -->
<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_locked --><!-- END switch_forum_locked -->
I guess not, though.

Link/Signature Removed
Having a "fake signature" that advertises your forum is prohibited. This breaks two rules, unfortunately you get a warning.

Rideem3, That was not a signature. I used a line break, not sure why I got added a warning.
