Social Network Integration
What would be the best way to integrate a Forumotion forum with an Oxwall social network that I created? Like, make it like they are nearly the same website?
Re: Social Network Integration
Hi
Is this Oxwall Social Network plugins or coding? Did you downloaded or something? If it's HTML and Javascript, you can create a HTML Page and a JavaScript. (ACP >> Modules >> both are at the bottom).

Re: Social Network Integration
I seen this here last night and was going to wait for a few more replies first.
Well i am not even sure where to start with this?
There are ways to incorporate things like this to your forum/html pages.
I would think the best way to get started with this would be to create a Wall/fm site, go back between that and whatever kinds of oxwall things you want to add, then decide the best ways on how to incorporate it to your forum.
This is stuff that you should have a little experience in as far as development and integrating different sites with others as a whole. But at the same time this can be great for someone just starting because you will lean much as you go a long. As of now i am not even 100% sure how i would go abaout but figure it out as i went along i think
I would really need know what it is you want to start with first and how you want implied into forumotion forum or html pages.. Honestly for me to try to help 100% to fully understand it my self. I would have to set up and test various things.. i mean your working with php and other things that may have to be uploaded to your site or even hosted through your own server or a server service provider.
But this dose not mean there are not ways to get most of what you would want to add.. Once again it would come down to what it is you want to do and where.
Since wall fm is recommended and set up to work well with oxwall i do feel it would be best to go that route first, then find the best ways to imply all to your forum and forums html pages..
So that’s all i can really think of now.. i will try to read up a little more on it. These are the kinds of things i have to do hands for me to understand better.
There are something’s that confuse me a little bit, then there are other things that seem pretty simple and straight forward, So i will read up a little more and perhaps test a few things and see how i make out.
In the mean time explain what it is you would like t try to start with , and where?

Re: Social Network Integration
Let's say I have a Wall.FM site. Let's also say that I would like to have it so that when someone wants to log into the Wall.FM site, all they have to do is put in the login info they use on the forum, and if they do something like change their password on the forum, then it changes on the social network. Someone who's good with PHP and SQL told me that I could have the social network ride on some of the forum's PHP. Is it possible to do that here?
Re: Social Network Integration
No you couldn't integrate it with the registrations/Log ins here, and you wouldn't be able to do much integration at all with forumotion because of limited access to anything server side.
The person who told you that, we're likely unaware your forum is on a locked in free host.
I have some more helpful information though, so I'll be contacting you by PM when I'm on a computer.
