Okay on my PHBB2 forum I got the option.
On a PHBB3 I got this option
Can I ask what is the difference?
Edit
Also is the option only available to the founder?

the 2nd one will only show a small number of Image Add's
as for the 1st one if you have the same settings as me then you can pick who see's the add's on your forum
If you have a newer Forum you will only get the 2nd setting you gave here
The tech's have removed all other settings for new forums made in the last year i think it wasReduce the number of displays for images advertisments :
Hope this was of more help to you.

Re: Disable ads for Staff.
Hi,
A quick correction;
Any forum made after I believe September 2010 do NOT have the option to disallow anyone to view the adds. New forums only have the ability to reduce the amount of displayed adds.
If your forum was created after Sept. 2010, You can only reduce the number of adds. Sorry.

I admin on a forum I checked and could not see the disallow for guests and admins I then checked my own forum and signed into my founder account I had the option to disallow ads for staff and only allow members and guests to see them. I then signed onto the account I post on the same forum and checked and I got the other option to only reduce the number of ads.
Therefore I think this is a founder related things.

Re: Disable ads for Staff.
RD, your extenuating circumstances, your forum's been moved to a forum that allows this, I believe
The script that allowed this isn't possible for new forums. The devs disallowed it. A decisive business move.

Darren1 if they removed it, it must been just a minute ago.
Because on my forum I created today, I have this:
Activate ads : [] All [] Members and guests

Re: Disable ads for Staff.
Hmm, thats weird. It is back for new forums.
Learned that my secret emails are somehow on FM's service
Thanks for that slg & RD, Ill update my notes.
Derri, it is as where APE has said. I do not believe it is a founder-only option, but check if you want to.
If you don't have it, it's not available to you. Sorry.

Well I logged onto my forums as a founder. Saw the option for staff.
I logged onto my posting admin account. Saw a different option
To me thats weird and sounds like a founder option.
