LIST OF MEMBERS

Post by nextlevelgaming on June 24th 2012, 8:28 am

Ok so I want a list of members as a module/widget. I tried looking in the MEMBERLIST in the general section, as well as retriving some of the html on the main page.

I want my memberslist to be viewable for members of course, clickable to go to that persons profile, and newest to oldest persay...

basically like this but picture it in the forum
_________________
| MEMBERS LIST

|member1
|member4
|member5
|member3
|member2

Maybe even scrolling to save space like the recent topics

Does anyone think they can help???

i tried using this code

<div style="height:4px"></div><table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tr><td align="left"></div><div></td></tr></table><div style="height:4px"></div></div></td><td valign="top" width="100%"><form action="/memberlist" method="get">

I figured the "/memberlist" method="get"> would work but nope...

Thanks guys

what? I think you need to research HTML forms a bit more lol.

You need to be a bit more specific about what you want.
A scrolling widget, literally scrolling through every single member of the forum would be a ridiculous ask, and even more ridiculous task.

Why would this be ridiculous? It does it for recent topics and such. Why couldn't I use somehing that like....

So basically all I want is a code that would find members, I know forummotion is capable of doing so sense it shows members name every where, as well as shows a full list of members... If I have to I will write out a whole long code, it may only take me one hour to write, each member individually though Id rather make it so it can jus automatically update ya know.

No I'm saying it would be ridiculous to display all the members. The recent topics does not scroll through every topic does it? No things like that need a limit, unless you'd basically destroy the server, hence why the memberlist is split up into pages, not one long page.

So as I say, your going to have to be more specific about what members. Most recent? Most active? Newest? Random? Because you can simply not write any script to display every single member.

I now see that this was a bad idea from the get go. I would still like a section to show our new users, but not to marquee up and down. Just rather small box of newest users...

top 5, i made a code where i implemented the links myself, of course they will stay the same. is there any way to make it update itself?
