[Forum Hacked] Automatic Link Redirection
I had a user who managed to redirect every topic he posted in to his adf.ly site (and spammed this to many topics). I wasn´t able to push the "delete post" button and I didn´t want to remove the whole topic.
Finally, I decided to go for a backup from 2 days ago to get rid of it. Does anyone have suggestions to counter this bullshit effectively?

Do you mean when you pressed the thread title it redirected? If the member posted a download link more likely that is want redirecting to adf.ly? It is set up to do it with most popular hosting sites, like mediafire.

Re: [Forum Hacked] Automatic Link Redirection
If I view the topic it automatically redirects to the adf.ly site without clicking anything. It is like opening the link manually, but one is forced to do so. I couldn´t do anything else on this topic, like deleting the post or posting something. The person used some HTML code to "ruin" the forum. It goes with iframe as command or whatever.slg wrote:Do you mean when you pressed the thread title it redirected? If the member posted a download link more likely that is want redirecting to adf.ly? I disabled html codes on the forum and the blank code was left.

Re: [Forum Hacked] Automatic Link Redirection
We basically needed to disable html scripts to save the forum from "problematic" damage. I see that the support forum doesn´t have this "security issue". It may be wise to make it off by default and only on with warning (if it´s not like this yet).Sanket wrote:Delete that thread?
Haha, this same thing I had was discussed here:

And I was about to ask for "Staff Only" HTML, pretty useful to prevent members from using it.
This topic is solved, though.
