Partnership module Empty Partnership module

Post by Namjies October 23rd 2007, 12:53 am

It would be fun to have a module on portal that does automatic partnership links. People get a small code for our forum that they place on their website, then when they confirm they have done so, the module check if the link appears on the website specified. Then this website link appears in our database of partners. The module could display a list of the links, exemple 200 pixel high frame with scroller. They would have to leave their e-mail adress, their website link and link where our code would be displayed and text to be displayed.

We could then ban an adress if it is found to be inapropriate. Or maybe the website could need an approval after they've done registration. In the two case a mail would be sent to the e-mail left by the subscriber. I'd personnaly go for the approval system.

This would greatly increase forumotion's users' forums visibility on the web. Plus it would be SO nice and useful.

Of course if I had access to the databse of my forum, I could add such a system myself with a pre-made script, but we cannot get access. So I must suggest it top be added instead.

Leave comments please.

Yes, it seems like a good idea.

Instead, you could manually place an image on the homepage/portal with a link and address.

It would take a while to install the mod so for those that want it, just do what I do.
