I am not sure if this is the right place for this. Hoping it is but it might fit elsewhere andd you can feel free to move it.

We recently updated our navigation bar. One thing I've noticed is when I try to change preferences to my account. It says "You cannot modify a profile that is not your own" I could go through ACP and change some but not all preferences are listed. Any suggestions?

Please don't double/triple post. Your post need to be separated by 24 hours before bumping, replying or adding more information. Please use the edit button instead!

Can you give us a screenshot of the preference pages on your forum?

Also, did you try resynchronizing your forum?

I apologize. I was in such a rush to fix it so people could pm me that I forgot to check the time stamp. I did resyncronize which'didn't help. First image attempts to turn PM on. Second one is after the attempt.

Profile Management Pmb10

Profile Management Pma10

Not only removes the PM option but also Facebook.

Are there any changes with the templates lately? Also, can you try to show a screenshot of the settings of the created navigation bar? Thank you.

We are phpbb3 so nothing template wise. I turned off any new HTML features we might have added. Is there anything in paticular you want for the navigation? It's just urls updated so it's all pictures and the profile was fine till I went to turn PM back on. As far as I know that's the only thing not working.

O sorry I didn't noticed that, can you try removing the added navigation bar or if it's modified, revert it back to the default settings and see if it will allow you to change the preference for PM's, we'll see if it's a technical problem.

Well, I decided to test something. Not sure if you could give insight into it or not but I was able to change it through FireFox but not IE.

Ok, by updating the navigation bar, what do you mean or how did you update/change it?

We went from links with pictures to an all picture navigation. From what I can gather, it's only affecting me and I'm the founder.

You said you can change the pm setting on Firefox but NOT ie, Correct? if so try clearing your cache and all cookies in your ie browser. If it still dont work than try clearing history or use firefox to browse your forum Smile.

Deleting cookies didn't fix it. Working with FF for now.
