In progress Help.. Members having trouble with Onlineguardian

Post by ridgebrook on July 27th 2012, 6:07 pm

Please, please help.. A number of my members are experiencing trouble with Onlineguardian. When they try logging onto my forum they get the following message..

onlineguardian.net

Family safe web browsing

Hello,

Our
system has detected suspicious activity related to your account or your
computer. Please complete the form below to regularize the situation
and return to the forum.
User name :
Verification Code*

This is just a looping page and when they fill in their username and verification code it just takes them back to the same page.. Why are they getting this when trying to log on to my forum? What happens if this onlineguard prevents me from logging on to my forum as i am founder member and the only admin?? If this happens to me does it mean i will no longer be able to log in to my forum and will lose it for good?? Is this something to do with the Onlineguardian Forumotion is using???
I am so not happy with this.. I used forumotion for my forum as i liked it better than any others on the net but if this issue is not addressed it could be then end of my forum, if i get this onlineguard page when logging, which i have spend many many hours making..
My forum is a car club with no bad language, porn, child porn or anything that would be deemed unappropriate so i why is this happening???
Please give me an answer as soon as possible as i fear i may start losing members if this isn't put right soon..

My forum address is http://babs.forumotion.com

Have pm'd Leeloo but haven't had a reply yet... This problem is still happening... One member who thought they had fixed the problem has yet again had "Onlineguard" stop them getting on the forum.... I am so not happy with this... If it is a Forumotion server issue banning ip addresses then why have i got to wait all this time to get anything done...
Why are my members ip addresses being banned??? Why is it only now that this is happening??? What is causing my members ip addresses to be banned??? Has it got anything to do with forumotion having "Onlineguard"?
Forumotion needs to address this problem asap.... Up until this problem started i thought Forumotion was the best but i am steadily losing patients over this.... Help deeded please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi this is a known problem and the staff over @ FM are working hard to fix it but this is only a problem with some members ip address or Email address Leeloo and any other staff can not be in the office 24/7 but she works hard to get this problem fixed as soon as she can

Note ( are head staff over in France where this forum office is, only work weekdays but on really bad problem like servers going down and late server problems they will go in but we still have no way of talking to them without leeloo.

Leeloo only works Weekdays and will be on to read the problems the staff have outlined for her.

We also have one more admin here that is here to help any other problems and outline the problems for leeloo to look at if needs be he also works hard to get any big problems fixed as soon as he can get word over to France.

We are sorry to here you are not happy with this problem but rest a shored we are working hard to get all the problems fixed as fast as we can.

What the problem is, Google and bing and some other browsers have a black list system that picks up ip addresses That have been reported by other sites as spammers This DON'T mean to say your member is a Spammer it just means that the ip address may have been used before by some one else

This then gets put on a list as we Call (BLACK LIST) this is then sent all over the world for some one like FM to use on there servers to stop that member logging on to our servers and hacking or spamming our sites.

If this member is not a spammer then the Admin is to help us by giving the right info to the head of Admin's here (LEELOO) and she will intern remove them from the list and your member is then free to use the site again.

This is the best way to keep the site and its members safe from spam Bots and bad members.

I hope i have gave you all the info you need to think better of us.

I'm having the same problem, although weirdly I'm locked out on one forum but not another, which makes me wonder if it's really an IP blacklist issue? I only signed up here to look for answers to this problem, and it's telling me I don't have the post count necessary to PM Leeloo. Does anyone know if there's another way to contact her? Thanks!

Oh. Except I just wrote up a huge message with my username and email and everything, and it says Leeloo does not wish to receive private messages. Is someone else dealing with this now? Would appreciate the help, it's frustrating both me and our forum mod.

emilyinchile, Leeloo is away until 10th of September. You can PM it to Jophy, so that he can forward it to Leeloo so she can take a look.

What i would do if you have this problem with your members is make a little post in your site saying that if they get this problem to Email you there info or make a post in one of your forums if its open to guests we have a bug report forum just for this sort of thing on my site. it helps a lot.

what you want to ask for is:
User name on the forum,
IP Address,
Email address
Date this become a problem
A screen shot of the error they get
This will not only help you but will also help our staff.
