Taking off underlines in links

Post by Alexander Moore on July 27th 2012, 8:03 pm

I only want underlines to appear on mouseover. I don't want them to always be there.

I checked and all "Text-Decoration" codes in the CSS is set to none. I probably need a new code for this.

Thanks in advance.

Throws an error if you try inserting that by itself.

I'm pretty sure it needs to be part of something, like
Code:
body  {
background-position: top center;
text-decoration: none;
}

In this example it's in the general body code (I think that's what it is), but that does nothing.

Hi,

APE's code is correct but he wrapped wrongly...

Code:
a:link {
text-decoration: none;
}

Thank you, but I do want the underlines to appear at hover. I tried using this code :

Code:
a:link:hover {
text-decoration: underline;
}

But that was just a guess at the right code and it didn't work. What's the correct one?
