Main Forum Header
I've created a main header for my site with Gimp 2.8. I purposely made the header with rounded corners and the background (behind the header) transparent. Yet when I upload my newly created header, the background behind the header is black (corners). You can take a look at what i'm talking about here http://globalwarleague.forumotion.com/ and below is an image of the header (with rounded corners and transparent BG) in GIMP 2.8
I want to get rid of the black background "corners".I'm wanting to display this header with the rounded corners as seen in the image above.
Could it be on my end? Like some error in how I saved the image? Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.
Regards,
David

Re: Main Forum Header
Bump. So I did figure something out.I export the header out of Gimp 2.8 with the .png extension. IT IS a png file image. When I go to upload the header it says .PNG as the extension. As soon as its uploaded it turns it into a .JPG.Hence my transparency problem.
I've uploaded other slightly smaller .png headers with rounded corners and they worked fine..they didn't switch to a jpg after upload. So iam assuming what extension the file gets after upload determines transparency (since .png allows transparency to maintain from the editor to the web)
Just wondering what i'm doing wrong here. Off to the Gimp forums...
What is causing this? Is it something on my end?
