Solved Forum and background width

Post by ssleven on August 2nd 2012, 8:41 am

New forum created. Background image is full width of the screen, but forum itself is about 60% of the screen, in the middle.

I tried adjusting the width parameter from 600 to 1000, and 100%, but no change. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you try changing it in the CSS?

Administration Panel > Display > Colors & Pictures > Colors
CSS Stylesheet Tab

Administration Panel > Display > Colors & Pictures > Colors > CSS

background-attachment: fixed;
background-size: cover;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center;

add this to your background " body { "

Thanks. I don't know much about css, but the last line looks incomplete to me.

Anyway, I looked at the css and it did have a line
Code:
        .bodylinewidth {
             width:70%}
I changed to 90% and site looks much better. However, when I went to submit css change, I got an error message uneven { and }. I don't want to mess it up (more), so what do I do? CSS is shown below.

Thanks.

----

.bodyline{
-moz-border-radius:11px;
-webkit-border-radius: 11px;

border: 1px ##3A0D59 solid;
}
.bodylinewidth {
width:90%}
.forumline{
-moz-border-radius: 4px;
-webkit-border-radius: 4px;}

border: 2px ##3A0D59 solid;
}

a.mainmenu{
filter:alpha(opacity=100);
-moz-opacity: 1.0;
opacity: 1.0;
}
a.mainmenu:hover{
filter:alpha(opacity=70);
-moz-opacity: 0.65;
opacity: 0.65;
}

.bodylinewidth {
width:90%}

should be

.bodylinewidth {
width:90%;}

forumline{
-moz-border-radius: 4px;
-webkit-border-radius: 4px;}

border: 2px ##3A0D59 solid;
}

should be

forumline{
-moz-border-radius: 4px;
-webkit-border-radius: 4px;

border: 2px ##3A0D59 solid;
}
