Please change the title of your topic, that is related to your question/issue, so that other users will be able to find their question/issue using the search engine. |
Make a group with autosubscribe on 50 posts. After that give the permissions for that specific group to open new topics there.

Re: Limited access to a certain forum
right you will have to set the permissions for all groups you have accordingly as you wish.
So if you have a group say it's called (Advanced members).
Ok you have the post count set to 50, now you want to create a forum only they can start new topics in, so you have to set the groups permissions for that forum to view the forum, start new topics, and allow replies.. You do not want select start new top's or reply for members and guest or else they will be able to post in it.
You may want to allow members to see the forum, and read topics, but they cant post or reply until they reach 50 post and are now in the group with permissions to do so.
Say you have another group set to 100 post and only want them to have access to a certain forum.
then you have to set the permissions for that group and make sure the other groups permissions are set not to allow them.
It's basically all in your permissions, and when you create groups you have to be sure all permissions are set according to the forums you wish to allow them in, Post, reply etc.....

Re: Limited access to a certain forum
Go through each forum's permissions.
Uncheck the box for Open/Start a Topic for members. Check the box for the 50 posts group.

In addition to that, on the top there is a Reply to a message. So set the permissions accordingly for all the groups.slg wrote:Look at the Open a Topic that is the right to start a topic/thread.

Re: Limited access to a certain forum
If you check it for members, its available for all.
To overcome this limitation. Make another member group with autosubscribe to 0 posts. That way, you can set the permissions.
