Could you reinstall some other phpbb3 skin directly from hitskin.com & check if the problem persists?

I am a newbe here. I am just about ready to open my forum but I am not seeing the "register" word to click on. I had seen it before but not anymore. I have gone through SO many posts on how to fix the problem but it is not solved. I have the holiday fixed, the construction fixed, log-in taken care of. And I also have everything unlocked. I am lost for ideas. However, I just started my site last night. Today, I am finally learning to function through the controls.
Any more ideas???
Please! I welcome anymore ideas.
Thank you all...

I forgot to mention that the forum shows locked also. Everything seems okay except for those two things (one in previous post)
Thank you...

I (admin)just signed out and I do indeed see the register mark. HOWEVER...I tested a username and registered and it says the username has already been taken...well I know that is not true, because I (admin) am the only one in and registered in the forum....

Hi,

Read the following tutorial on how to unlock your forum:

http://help.forumotion.com/t35100-how-to-unlock-your-forum

Make sure you've done what that tutorial includes.

If it doesn't help, re-synchronize your forum.
