Google Analytics

I've signed up for Google Analytics, got the code, placed it in my forum's Account ID box, but don't know where to place the Javascript given ????!
The example box is an image file, although it says I should place the code in the 'form below' - i don't know what it means since it's an image file.
Please let me know where on my forum I should place the code given to me from Google Analytics

no it appears i need to place the code in my forum somewhere... but where?

so all the pages are being searched by google analytics automatically and not as they suggest on GA ( to enter code on each page you wish to track
