Solved Problem with changing version

Post by frozen1986 on September 5th 2012, 7:42 am

I've created my forum on phpBB3. Everytime I change it to phpBB2, and change my theme back to what ive saved, it changes back the version to phpbb3. Have no clue why its happening this way :s

Please don't double/triple post. Your post need to be separated by 24 hours before bumping, replying or adding more information. Please use the edit button instead!

You will have to change the version you want, then add things you want from the other version's theme. If the theme is a phpBB 2 theme, it will change your forum version, too.

Also note changing versions via the admin panel can mess up your forum look.

You will have to manually add the CSS for the theme. CSS will different because they are two different versions.

P.S. When you change themes or versions, the CSS is erased/changed.

Solved Re: Problem with changing version

Ok what i did was to make another forums on forumotion on phpbb2. I customized whole theme along with pictures and colors which I had it on my phpbb3 forums. Then I saved that theme in phpbb2. And Imported on my forums, thats how I got my customized theme for the changed version as well. I know it erased my CSS codes, I put them again in there for my Navigation bar. And now I've got it done by myself.
Thanks for the responses though.
