Videos Loading on Site
First apologies if this is in wrong place, I found this place to be most relevant sounding to my issue. Issue being that when my friends, members, post a youtube video to the site using the video button an putting a link in or the alternative of an "emb" code, the video will not load at all for me on the site. I asked them if this issue occurs for them, an they say no issue what so ever. An I am using Opera. With forums being phpbb2. I would like to watch the vids on the site rather then going to youtube. Answers?

I'm assuming that when they or you post a video using the embed code you can see the video?
You might try looking in your profile page under "Preferences" and make sure you have "Always allow HTML" ticked to "Yes".
Also make sure in AP>>General>>Message and emails>>Configuration>>Allow HTML ticked to "Yes".
If all those are set for HTML and you still can't see the video, make sure you have the latest version of "Flash player" installed on your computer.

I'm afraid not, not any suggestions that are related to your forum, if none of those things worked it would probably be a good idea to direct your attention to your computer. You mentioned this problem is only happening to you and that your members did not experience the same issue with the video not loading, so I think your question would be better served on a computer tech forum, or perhaps a forum on flash support. I think this issue is with your computer, browser, or flash program. I don't see this problem as something that can be fixed on your forum because it doesn't look like a forum related issue.
Best of luck..

Re: Videos Loading on Site
How would I diagnose whether it is my computer? Cause I can play videos an flash wave player is running fine. Its only not working on my forum, so isn't it relevant to my forum? If not then I will look for an answer some place else. An thank you for the help so far runawayhorses. An also I have checked with my members, they said it works for them, when their using google chrome an opera, I am using opera. So maybe it is a personal browser issue? Eh, well is there any more suggestions I can try before I search for an answer some where else?runawayhorses wrote:I'm afraid not, not any suggestions that are related to your forum, if none of those things worked it would probably be a good idea to direct your attention to your computer. No its not relevant to your forum because its working for everyone else but you. The forum does not discriminate if your profile settings are the same as everyone else, so the problem must be on your end.
Try viewing the video on your forum that's not working for you on another browser other than Opera, like Firefox or Internet Explorer. If it works then we know its your Opera browser issue.
If its still not working try uninstalling flash completely from your computer and then reinstalling it. Then try viewing the video again.
You can check to see if you have the latest version of flash here:

You can download flash here:

Note: Be sure to UN-tick the " McAfee Security Scan Plus" if you don't want it.
