You need to be more specific please, do you want your categories to be hidden at first, then when clicked to be opened? or what

Hey guys NextLevel here with another tutorial,

Are you tired of people saying phpbb2 can not do what phpbb3 or other versions can do. Well i'm here again to prove it wrong. Today I'm going to show you how to create a category open and close. So let's start on where to go!

ACP>DISPLAY>TEMPLATES>GENERAL>INDEX_BOX

add this code

Code:
script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
    $(".slidingDiv").hide();
$('.secondarytitle').click(function() {
    $(this).closest('tr').siblings('.slidingDiv').slideToggle();
});
  });

</script>
Then find this code
Code:
<!-- BEGIN catrow --><!-- BEGIN tablehead -->
<table rules="groups" class="highlight" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">
  <tr>
          <left>  <th colspan="{catrow.tablehead.INC_SPAN}" nowrap="nowrap" width="100%" class="secondarytitle">{catrow.tablehead.L_FORUM}</th></left>
  </tr>
  <!-- END tablehead -->
Great now add this
Code:
style="cursor:pointer;"

so that users will know that it is clickable!

Should Look like this!
Code:
<!-- BEGIN catrow --><!-- BEGIN tablehead -->
<table rules="groups" class="highlight" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">
  <tr>
          <left>  <th colspan="{catrow.tablehead.INC_SPAN}" nowrap="nowrap" width="100%" style="cursor:pointer;"  class="secondarytitle">{catrow.tablehead.L_FORUM}</th></left>
  </tr>
  <!-- END tablehead -->

Now Find this code--

Code:
<!-- END cathead -->
  <!-- BEGIN forumrow -->
  <tr>
      <!-- BEGIN inc -->
      <td class="{catrow.forumrow.inc.INC_CLASS}" width="46"><img src="{SPACER}" height="0" width="46" alt="." /></td>
      <!-- END inc -->

add this

Code:
class="slidingDiv"

should look like this

Code:
<!-- END cathead -->
  <!-- BEGIN forumrow -->
  <tr class="slidingDiv">
      <!-- BEGIN inc -->
      <td class="{catrow.forumrow.inc.INC_CLASS}" width="46"><img src="{SPACER}" height="0" width="46" alt="." /></td>
      <!-- END inc -->

And that is it people! see how easy that was! beautiful right?

Well proved them nah sayers wrong once again!
