Resynchronizing Problem Empty Resynchronizing Problem

Post by Senzu September 8th 2012, 4:03 pm

i didn't know where to put this so i put it here. some time ago i made a thread for chat not logging in/out users on my forum. you told me to resynchronize my forum. so i did. it helped for a short while. now this happens a lot to some users and to me, sometimes when i am disconnected and trying to log in it won't let me do it,i have to refresh the chat and then it works. there's also problem with logging out, more users suffer from that. in the meantime i resynchronized the forum many times thinking of what you said before. but this starts to annoy me. and i'm thinking to myself that maybe it's a bug or something... what do you think?

is the chat room our FM chat box or is it one of the ones that our members have changed the settings to ?

why i ask is if the FM chat box is a default one then a resynchronization is not needed it would be a problem on our side.
if it's one that our staff or members have changed a little then it could be down to a code they have added or some java codes not working right.

i can't tell you this cos i have no idea. if that helps then it's the same chat box as it is on the bottom of the page, i just made it open in a new window and added it to menu bar and hid the bottom one :/

you tell me what chat am i using cos i honestly don't know

edit: today i didn't see the logging in of two users, they just appeared there. what the hell?

ok it sounds to me that your chat room is getting slowed down by the bar you have placed it in and or the way its hid.

best thing to do is a copy of the codes you have now and save them on a note pad and then remove all the codes and see if you have the same problem. if you have the same problem then you need more help from one of the staff here or a tech from the head office.
