GoDaddy Email address not valid

I am trying to set up my email I created through GoDaddy for my forum, but it keeps telling me the email address is invalid. I am currently logged onto the email address, so I know it's not invalid. Can anyone please help out???

I have the email address created, I'm just trying to add it to my forum as the main email address.

I guess that's what it would be called. Right now all of the notifications go to my gMail account, which is no longer in regular use since I got the account with godaddy
