Solved Some moderators do not have a ban button

Post by chouzouris on September 23rd 2012, 9:23 pm

I have 6 moderators belonging in the same group but only 3 of them have the "ban this user" option in the members' profile. What' s wrong? How can all moderators have the ban option?

Did you add them in the administration panel? If you did not, remove them and add them in the administration panel.

They are added in the administration panel.

How do I modify the special users panel? I cannot see these users as moderators in

AP > Users & Groups > Special Users

These users do have the moderation tools. They only do not have the "ban this user" option.

Found what was wrong.... These mods belonged also in other groups, which even though they were lower in rank (higher group order than the mods group order), they made the system not recognize the users as moderators.... Weird heh?

No, this does not work. Their group was higher in the order of groups but they did not have the button. As soon as I made them leave the other groups, they magically acquired the button. geek
