Link in new member email notification says user doesn't exist!
When I click on the link in my email notification of a new user signup it always takes me to a page that says the user doesn't exist. Yet I can always find all my users in the forum members list and the admin panel. Can anyone help me correct this notification problem?

What exactly is the url that you get? Is it for activation or what?

Is the user activation set to admin or user activates himself?

If the notification system is sending me a link to a new user profile I expect to be able to see it when I follow the link.Sanket wrote:Okay, so is it causing any problem?

Are you logged in on the forum when you click on that link?

Hello,
The link doesn't work when the user is activated.
So, if the user activate himself his account before you click on the link, you can't be redirected to his profile.

OK, so if I make it Admin activated, this shouldn't happen?

Exactly
But if you do this, the users won't be able to activate their account themselves anymore.

Re: Link in new member email notification says user doesn't exist!
Hello
I have a similar problem, but I have it as admin activation.
This is what I get when I click on link to activate a new member registration:
https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/17/78/08/77/msg_fr10.png
But I got to my members list and this is what I see:
https://i.servimg.com/u/f38/17/78/08/77/msg_fr10.jpg
I don't understand what I am doing wrong, I was able to activate the other Admin for my forum with no problem.
I've checked my settings but I have everything the same, could anyone help with this issue please?

Rii Soul, maybe the other admin activated that user even before you did.

Could be, I haven't been able to speak to him yet so not sure.
Thank you for your time
