Solved Insert Image Placement

Post by bob77707 October 20th 2012, 4:45 am

When using the insert image button, it places the
Code:
[img]http://image_url[/img]
at the lowest point that the caret has been in the text editor.

How do I change it to place the
Code:
[img]http://image_url[/img]
where my caret currently is? Like how the bold button works on this forum.

Do you mean that when you try to enter the code it always goes at the end of the message? I believe this is a known issue that has not been fixed.

Yeah, exactly. Should I mark this as solved or do you think anyone might have made a work around?

Well, did you try it with the WYSIWYG editor? That way it appears where your cursor is.
Just hit the a/A button.

I actually just discovered the WYSIWYG the other day when I was checking to make sure everything on my forum was appearing correctly in other browsers. For some reason the WYSIWYG buttons do not show up in Safari (my default browser).

I just tried the insert image in Firefox using WYSIWYG, and you are right, it does place it at the cursor. Maybe it's time I switch browsers Wink
