Forum stolen!

Post by asterisco on October 21st 2012, 1:54 pm

I am trying to contact you because we are in great distress!
The forum http://pcxportugal.livre-forum.com, which is hosted on behalf of the brazillian community of forumotion.

The person who scammed us pretended to be from the staff, and since the administrator who was being contacted does not have a very good knowledge on forum adminsitration, he belived that the person contacting him was really a part of the Staff from the brazillian community (Forumeiros.com).

All we ask, since the forumeiros.com staff says that they can do nothing about it, is for you guys to reset the data to the founding email address (joseafsmagalhaes@gmail.com) and send a new password to it, if you check the registry log you can see that this is the email that has been used to create the forum in question.

We're talking about a community that has already reached 2.000 users, in over 2 years of hard work from our staff, and has given us many joys and gatherings.

Please, please try to help us out! It is very sad to see all our hard work is being destroyed by a 12 year old kid who fooled a person with less technological knowledge, with no advantage in doing it whatsoever.

Thank you for your time, we anxiounsly wait for a response from your behalf. Sad

First what can make staff trust you and think you are saying the truth?

Second you said the founder of the forum have no knowledge about administration .

Third is he have now knowledge how can your forum be up for 2 years and get over 2,000 members and he still haves no knowledge?

I am sorry if i am talking in a bad way but this questions may really be asked

We're talking about a person in his late 50.
It's a team of people managing the forum, but that is HIS email, but in sum it was HIS mistake for being scammed, thats the point i was trying to pass.

On the other hand, the staff doesn't even have to believe me, the thing is i've never asked for them to send any information to any other email than the one which the forum was created, which is the person's personal email, and not mine (He was the one who created the community).

I hope i've answered all your questions

Thank you for the quick reply, i've now sent a PM to Leeloo (Which i couldn't due to my post count, thats why I decided to post it here instead) and sent him a link to this topic so he can catch up to all the details above.

Thank you again!

EDIT:
To aggravate the case, our forum is now being redirected to another forum, belonging to the persons that scammed us!
If you visit the forum link abouve, you'll see out forum, but after 2 or 3 seconds you will be redirected to a second forum that has nothing to do with us! The forum which you are being redirected to belongs to the people that scammed us, they only want to increase their forum traffic at our expense, it saddens me to see our work go to waste, especially if we're talking about 13 year old brazillian kids.

I'm sorry if im repeating myself, but this is just sad, to me, and to the rest of the PCXforum team.
