how do you password specific lock a forum so only the ones who have the password I choose can see it after logging in to it using that password?

You cant, forumotion dose not have a option to pass protect forums or subforums.
Your best option would be to create a group,then set the forum permissions for that group as you wish, then add the members that will have permissions the forum/forums forum in the group.

it can be a hidden group as well, just be sure it is a closed group and that you set your forums permissions as you want them for them group.
