In progress CSS Edit Woes

Post by Kyote on November 7th 2012, 3:01 pm

Oh, sigh..
I know I must be a tool, because I couldn't really find any errors on this, so I believe it's an operator one (a.k.a I suck!)

Changing the CSS.. I read the tutorial where you deactivate the basic CSS, then copy and paste the basic CSS in to the white box, etc.. But when I click to save, it tells me that I can not have that much css in the box/too many characters and removes it.

How do I fix this?

There is a limit for CSS. Try to edit the CSS where there is one line for the each CSS code.

Well why would you do that? Your essentially using up your own space just to put the exact same CSS that is already loaded into your forum?

You should never need to deactivate the basic CSS, there is honestly no reason to whatsoever. All declarations in the basic CSS can be overridden in your custom CSS, and will save you of the 80% bloat.

Unless you're planning on recreating a different page altogether... just create an HTML page instead, gives you a reason to use the codes and yeah, wasteful :/
