Post by littlemissperfect on November 9th 2012, 6:24 pm

Hello Hello ,
I was wondering - if it is possible to make forum for
example opacity: 0.5, but left all the pictures normal
with no effect like this? My forum is phpBB2. I
would be very thankful if someone would answer Smile

Code:
a.mainmenu{
filter:alpha(opacity=100);
-moz-opacity: 1.;
opacity: 1.0;
  }
a.mainmenu:hover{
          filter:alpha(opacity=90);
-moz-opacity: 0.65;
opacity: .50;
    }

a:hover{  opacity:0.65;  -moz-opacity: 0.65;  filter: alpha(opacity=65);  }

Does that help?

Hi, I am not completely sure on what you're asking. If you could provide a screenshot of what you aim to do, that would be great. Thanks!

Are you wanting your forum to be slightly transparent while having the images remain opaque...?

if it is possible to make forum for example opacity: 0.5

You need to use a semi transparent background image done in Photoshop for your forum background so like that it wont affect anything else. That is ofcourse if you are refering to the whole forum as you wrote.

Adding it in this CSS part:

Code:
.bodyline {
    background-image: url("SEMI TRANSPARENT IMAGE LINK GOES HERE");
}

She's right there, bud. But if you don't know how to do the design, please refer to the Graphics Request area Smile

If you use a bodyline image like I told you images wont be transparent, just the one you added to bodyline. You can't use opacity in body cause logicly it will affect everything else.

I'm struggling to understand what you want, but is this what you're going for? I got the transparency effect this way in CSS. You would have to modify the syntax appropriately for PHPBB2, though.

Code:
/*Transparent Body Lines*/
.post {
opacity:0.8;
filter:alpha(opacity=80);
}
/*Transparent Forum Backgrounds*/
.forabg {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
.forumbg {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
/*Transparent User Control Panel*/
.panel {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
/*Transparent FAQ Panel*/
.faq {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
/*Transparent Search Panel*/
.search {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
.logo {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
/*Transparent Profile Field*/
.profile_field_list {
opacity:0.85;
filter:alpha(opacity=85);
}
/*Transparent Module Lines*/
.module {
opacity:0.8;
filter:alpha(opacity=80);
}
