Using my own domain
Hi all,
Looking forward to creating a forum for my local town.
One thing I would like to know though is, I already have my own web space and web address, can I use the forum on this or will I have to use one provided from Forumotion using the credit system, I have looked in there but .co.uk is not an option and obviously the one I want to use is already taken by me?
Looking forward to your replies and suggestions

Thanks for your suggestion.slg wrote:See if this answers your question - https://help.forumotion.com/t7021-redirect-an-extern-domain-name-that-you-own-to-your-board ?
However, that redirects it to the forum which I had done and what I really wanted was to keep the name of my web site in the address bar instead of it being www.abcdefg12345.forumotion.com
Is there a way this can be done?

Re: Using my own domain
Hello,
The only solution is to purchase your domain name through Forumotion.
What's your forum's URL ? Are you sure that you didn't won a domain name due to the activity of your forum ?
Sorry, I didn't pay enough attention to the first topic.
You're right, domain names .co.uk aren't available to purchase with Forumotion.
Thank you !
