Hiding a forum off the index without changing it's permissions?

Post by ShinGamix on November 18th 2012, 4:27 pm

I want to hide a forum off of the main index without changing its permissions on a phpbb2 forum. Anyone know how I could do that?

Hi good-morning,

You don't want it to be visible to certain members? Or what exactly do you have in mind? Please explain yourself a bit more.

I don't want it to appear on the index at all but I want it to be able to still be accesses through the link or a button.

I don't think if CSS or JS coding will do the trick. I don't think it's possible. You can wait for someone else to reply and see what they can provide you. But I'm 100% sure that it isn't possible.

Yes, kinda sad, but you can suggest it.

Use a hide tag to hide that forum and in a topic, you can have a link posted there OR by creating a different reference code for the forum, you can redirect it to that tag and then have a back to the forum link or button as you wish using another reference code. Though, the one I suggested with a different redirection will make you create an HTML page to support it, but yeah, use a hide tag to hide the forum Smile
