Domain name from Email issue

Post by videogamers on November 22nd 2012, 4:22 pm

Whenever we have emails sent out to notify people of replies to the threads that they have posted to and they click on the link to that thread they get taken to 1-2-3 reg holding page but if you were to put www.video-gamers.co.uk into the url bar it works fine.

The issue that we have that I cannot find on your support forums is regarding the Domain Name link to the forum from the emails.

Do you have any idea what is going on?

I have been in touch with 123Reg they say it must be server side on forumotion.

Please note that we have followed the Domain forwarding properly.

That is what the emails look like. Which when link is clicked go to a 123reg holding page instead of the page in the link.

Hello,

I'm sorry, that's the kind of errors that we have with the domains .co.uk .
This kind of domain names are not recommended at all because of the double extension which is causing some glitches with many systems.

There's nothing we can do unfortunately Sad
